Anyone been to Douglas Lake lately?

Anyone been to Douglas Lake lately? Going to come up and fish it my grandfather (84) for a week. Thanks!

I was by there last week. We just passed through the area but weren’t fishing. It looks like a great place to fish and the boat traffic was low the day I checked it out. Sorry I can’t help you more. I think we are going to add it as a fishing destination vacation for next spring or fall, it’s supposed to be a great Crappie lake.

Douglas has had several years of poor spawning classes, causing low numbers of fish in various age classes. The last 2-3 years has been generally tough fishing.

The water level is projected to come up roughly 20 feet in the next couple of days.
