Was worried I’d forgotten :)
It’d been awhile since I’d wet a line .
I was worried I’d forgotten how to fish .
Today around 1:20 , I dropped my other half off at her hairdresser, and drove over to lake McIntosh.
The water was back up , about a foot below full pool . But the sun was bright and the temps in the lower 90’s . An occasional light breeze made it tolerable for the forty minutes I was able to fish .
I took my little 4’6” Palms Quattro XXUL paired up with a Shimano Soare ss500spg , spooled up with Daiwa J braid in 1.5# diameter and a 3# Flouroclear leader .
My jig was a tiny handtied chenille and rabbit fur tailed , tied on a size 12 streamer hook and a brass 3mm tungsten bead . Color was dark olive .
I ended up with ten fish , seven gills , 2 shellcracker, and a micro sized green sunfish.
The Quattro was perfect for today’s catches .
Got me fired back up on chasing local gills .
