Mighty quiet on here.
Yep. Been chasing “panfish” most of the summer. The bite was pretty consistent all summer until about a week or so ago. It’s got really hot so it might be that plus the hurricane threw a wrench in it as well. I did luck into my best cracker @1.49# and on a fly rod.
For me the fishing been way slow. Hasn't motivated me to go our much so working around the house and on projects mostly. Nice fish sc53.
Ben to hot in Ga. for me and too hot to do yard work. just cutting grass.Dr visit has kept me home. hope with the weather cooling off and a shot in my lower back Monday i will be going soon.
Was down at my Astor place earlier this month. HOT and WET. Got there just in time for Debby too lol. Did get out a few times but not a lot happening. Put the crab traps out on George and got enough for a meal and some bait for this winter.

I’ve chased the bluegill most of the summer and found a few crappie in the process. Last few weeks have been off for me too and I have some off time coming up and that will mean a couple of trips to the salt. Had some great days with the bluegill.
I will be visiting a buddy of mine who now lives on Lake Okeechobee this Fall. Retired now. He doesn't fish, but likes to be next to the water. Grew up together in far West Texas, best man at each others weddings. Is it worth pulling the boat there? He was asking if I was going to bring it. Thanks.
Hope to be on Blackshear soon
I've made some trips to the big O in years past and it is an awesome fishery. We always went in late winter/early spring. Hundred fish days were the norm and the crappies there are very healthy. In the fall, I'd think it would get good again and probably worth pulling the boat for. To get a reliable fishing report once we arrived we always stopped in at Fast Break Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Guides - Fast Break Tackle . They were always helpful and had everything you could dream of for fishing.
