How deep will you fish using a slip bobber and minnow or plastic?
I don't use them much but 2 foot for either for me. I'm sure much deeper would work.
Also bobbers are for children, it's a Strike Indicator! :highfive :biggrin
Don't use them very often, and always with minnows. I believe the last time I used them they were set to fish at 15' deep. But, in the past, I generally had them set at ~10' or less.
I would set them about a foot over the fish.
In my home lake, they will suspend around 17-25 ft in standing timber. A slip bobber with either bait gets the job done.

About 25' is my max.
I've fished them as deep as 50'. Had to upsize both lure(swedish pimple) and bobber to get it that deep.
I only use pinch on floats and I go as deep as 10 to 12 foot ....
BUT you got to be hard core in the casting with it set like that and your rod may need to be longer as well
anytime my depth setting passes my rod length it gets quite dicey on the presentation for sure
of course many would say it's impossible to use a pinch on that way ....
BUT ....come watch me some time is what I got to say bout dat..... :Rofl
p.s. and I NEVER use slip floats or minnows either , just saying
I've never used slip floats but did rig up a rod with one late this spring. The plan was to use it in the 12-16' on fish that weren't in the mood to chase a jig. Never tried it though, it's on the list this fall.
