32’s on the jeep

Well, kinda, just put them on the back. They fit there, and they fit on the front if but only if you don’t have to steer!

So I got some jeep wheels and tires dirt cheap. Seems jeep folks always upgrade their wheels and tires and their originals end up on fakebook marketplace on the cheap. I bought five wheels and good tires for only $100, I could not pass it up. They were advertised as 30 inch wheels, which woulda fit on my jeep Xj, but they turned out to be 32” wheels. I bought them anyway.

I put a set on the back just to see. It works but maybe the original 28’s pictured here on the front need to be upgraded to 30’s.

So I decided to drive with the front 28’s and the rear 32’s, and in that first pic above I plasicoated both rims the same color, graphite, just so the different wheel styles would more closely match.

I just need to put some new 30’s on the new wheels and put them up front but for now this works.

I definitely like the bigger but they gotta be functional too….lol. I also like the offroad tires which gives it a more aggressive look. That jeep looks good with the sponsor stickers. :ThumbsUp

I never use it in 4 wheel drive. And on top that, the front drive shaft ain't even installed yet. That something I still plan on doing though.

And if the wheel and tire widths are different front to rear, for the 20 yards that I might use the four wheel drive when pulling a boat out the water, I don't think that'll be a problem. Might squeak a little, but it should pull me out. Great question though.

I'm not sure a lift would help unless I go real big. I'd do a 2" lift no prob, but I'm not in favor of going 4 or more. but you never know!!!

HA !!! I remember when I had Gabriel Highjackers air shocks on the back of my 1969 Nova SS350 ... got stopped by the cops for "speeding" (I wasn't) because it looked like the car was going faster than it really was (let go with a warning). rotfl And got a ticket for "accelerated takeoff" (scratching off) when I was exiting a local Jerry's restaurant & one of the back tires ran off the curb and made a screeching sound, so the "rent-a-cop" at the restaurant thought I was "scratching off". I paid the fine, because I didn't think the judge would believe my explanation that it was not intentional.

Suspension lifts usually maintain steering & ride but if the 32's on the front return the Jeep to the factory rake without a suspension lift I wouldn't install one either. The profile photograph fools the eyes into seeing where a front lift would fix the rake but you have the smaller tires on the Jeep when the picture was taken.

CrappiePappy, here in Mississippi they just outlawed the raised front / lowered back rake that I think you are referring to with the "Carolina Squat" style 2-3 weeks ago. You saw a truck every once in a while like that but the news article I read said something to the effect that those vehicles were dangerous steering on the road.

When I had the Nova, jacking the back end up was called a "California Rake".

This pic was taken when I first put on the Gabriel Highjackers. Shortly afterwards I put dual Thrush mufflers on and ran the exhaust pipes out the sides (in front of each tire). :kewl
