When younger - much younger - I didn't care as long as thunder and wind over 15mph were out of the question. I'd just as soon post on forums and make some lures while watching shows on TV and smoking my pipe (tobacco that is.)

Since Im older there aree ALOT more reasons not to go than there is to go!;):)
I don’t like getting drenched, and I hate constant wind, so I don’t fish when raining and higher winds. If there is low possibility of a light shower towards the end of my trip that lets me fish at least 2 hours, and there is no wind pickup or lightning in the forecast, I may go
—I have a Frogg Togg rain suit for that.
I am blessed to live on the lake with my boat in the slip. I will check weather , maybe look at the radar before I decide to go.
My days of fishing in the wind and rain are behind me. But I won't cancel a trip just because there is a chance of rain.

Oh sure I make plans based on the weatherman! :Rofl
Only job you can have and be Wrong 75% or more of the time and not lose your job! :juggle

We usually pay good money to fish in the rain!!!
Fished many days knowing it could rain . Ran off a few times by lightning . Not near as likely to go now if it looks like rain . Our choices change when we have plenty of free time .
During the summer I love cloudy days with a chance of rain. Less people out fishing means less pressure on the fish and they aren't so spooky and it isn't as hot. Don't mind some rain this time of year as long as the lightning stays away. Rest of the year it depends on air temps. Cold rain isn't much fun so I might take a pass. Normally I go and hope it doesn't. Tired of getting a forecast of rain and not go and then it doesn't rain at all. Over the years have had some great days fishing in the rain. Never know until you go.
