Gasoline types
I'm curious to what type fuel blends everyone uses in there newer 4 stroke outboard engines? I bought my 1st 4 stroke 2 yrs ago and have only run non-ethanol/methanol gas which as most of you know is expensive, but being in a business that uses plenty of small gas engines, I've found the upfront cost of the good fuel out weights the down time for fuel related problems.

Not taking a chance and many will disagree! I have seen 1st had what ethanol gas does after it sits for a bit !
my 4 stroke boat motor and all my small engines has only seen ethanol free gas since new and that’s all I’ll ever run and I make sure it comes from a dedicated line/tank! :twocents

I buy non-ethanol from a pump that has a dedicated fill hose for that selection only if possible. Ethanol, as much as a gallon will be pumped into your tank before the non-ethanol reached the hose nozzle on pumps without a dedicated hose. The next person at the pump gets the gallon of good gas before the cheap stuff runs into their tank.

I run regular 87 octane pump gas on everything. (ethanol blend)
Motor is a 2017 60hp 4stroke purchased in 2016.
My friend had a 1995 Merc 4 stroke and he does the same. Neither of us have had any problems with our outboards.
The only problem I've ever had with any equipment was a chainsaw that I just could not get started after sitting un-used for 2 years. I was going to rebuild the carb but decided to dump out the old fuel and replace with new fuel. After adding the fresh 2 stroke blend it fired right up and never had a problem again.
One thing I learned about these fuel threads is no one ever changes anyone's mind.

Non-ethanol real gas for me. I don't like corn liquor in my tanks!

Ran a Mercury 40 HP four stroke for 7 years with regular gas 87 octane. Sold the boat and for the past 2 years it has been run on the Columbia River 2-3 times per week. No issues whatsoever. Am running same gas in my 2023 Tohatsu 60/40 four stroke jet. As has been said ain't nobody changing their mind on this issue.
