Hit another master angler lake in my area this morning. Local near the launch said the fish have been hard to come by because the weeds have been treated so many time this summer leaving the fish to wander. Worked most of the shoreline trolling jigs. Found the crappie holding tight in one small area so made short passes
No master angler for me but good consistent eaters. Certainly would be a lake to try early May.

Nice fish. We struggled today as well. First lake was a stinker and the second stop put 14 crappie and a nice pumpkinseed in the box.
Your really getting into the new lakes and finding fish! Enjoying hearing about it and seeing you have success after working to figure the lake out. Like Jerry said, we struggled. Most of the fish we boxed were caught casting jig and plastic in an area we caught a few trolling. Guessing I couldn't slow the boat down enough and keep the jigs out of the weeds trolling but casting you could kind of finesse the jig back really really slow and bounce the weeds a bit. Only another couple thousand new lakes in Michigan to try!:Rofl Keep us posted!
