Hot Weather Bigguns
July 1 was hot and so was the water. 86.6 degrees. Didn’t have high expectations but was nice on the water early before the crowds came out. Got 10 off the first pile. Hummmm? Might be a good day. Second pile 7. Well, can’t be a bad day from here. Uncle Remus called and was looking for a Livescope Mechanic. Made a short run and got him straightened out. Decided to hang close by in case it acted up. Picked up a 13 inch and a 14 1/2 inch and found a few new piles. Remus bailed out after we broke out our sandwich’s and had a picnic. Decided to make a run and hit a few more spots before I had a melt down. Glad I did, wasn’t long before catching my Biggun of the day. 15 1/2 inch 1.91. Pretty heavy for a July fish. Well that sealed the deal, great day. Fished a while longer and caught some small fish. Had a limit and the skiers were making laps and rocking me, that ended my day, time to load up. When a few more fish won’t make the day any better it’s time to quit. Get off the couch, brave the heat and wakes, occasionally the Good Lord will bless ya. Fished July 3 different part of the lake than July 1. Results were different. Only got 1 picture fish. My throw backs were 8 inches instead of
9 3/4”. Numbers were bout the same. Keeper Ratio went from 2-1 to 4-1. Location definitely makes a difference. Attachment 490126

good job Tackleboat and thanks for the help. a sour running boat and way out of date trolling motor screwed up LS
makes for a bad day but a good friend coming to your rescue brightens it up a bit.
thanks again for your help- hope to catch another trip with you soon- hopefully with a little better set up :)
