Slime Time
Broke in my new Graywolf 4’11” fiberglass UL this morning .
I got to fish about 40 minutes and caught eleven fish .
It was paired with Shimano Soare XR500spg , spooled with 2# Floroclear.
I used one of my micro jigs , a 3mm tungsten bead jighead on a size 14 streamer hook .
Olive chenille body with a rabbit fur tail . Weighs right at .3g .
The rod did great ! Even the smaller gills put a nice bend in the rod almost to the cork . The one bigger gill was super fun on the glass .
It’s not as sensitive as the Major Craft Finetail glass , or the Palms Egeria glass , but bends more easily than they do .
The rod cast great for a limber rod , it’s not whippy . Casting the micro .3g jig I was getting 20-25 feet .
Most of my casts were a bow and arrow cast to shoot under the docks . About 15-18’ shooting .
The rod recovers nicely .
I look forward to trying my .5g and .8g jigs . I’m sure my distance will increase with the heavier jigs .
A fun rod . Stable and firm enough to cast jigs but bends like the Daiwa Iprimi with a fish on . Makes the little ones fun !

The rod looks great and works well for you too. I’m liking the transparent white, very cool against all of todays dark gray and black. Good fish for a short trip, ya done good mister!

Nice looking combo, certainly has a uniform bend to it. Think it would be a fun trout rod as well. Some great colors on the gills.
