Should work well. Good job. Speaking of dark black, I tie one similar all black with palmered neck that they love. Very buggy looking.

Those little guys will definitely do the number on bluegill put a crappie nibble on there.

I noticed that on the red thread jigs you left the thread unclipped trailing behind. I do it all the time, gives it the bleeding bait look. First time I did that was by accident and when I used it fish tore it up. So now I tie jigs so there are three strands of threads trailing out the back. I use 8/0 FL.Orange Uni Thread which looks red but has a red glow to it when put under uv light. My favorite thread to use.

Thank you Jim. Exactly why I left it. I'll have to see if I have some Fl. Orange, though. If not, I'll be getting some.

I don't know why but the FL.Orange Uni- thread only comes in 8/0 and not in the heavier sizes. Bet I've used at least a couple miles of this thread over the years.

Where you finding it, because I've run out of places to look. I've found all kinds of 6/0, but no 8/0. Have found 70 deniers from other suppliers too...
