Then they vanished and could never find them.
They were on structure about 0800-0830am in 15-20 fow. We stayed out till about 1pm and caught a tiny bass so called quits. He enjoyed it!
What areas of the lake should I be searching for structures? Points, humps, flats next to ledges? Just all over and maybe put some structure in?

I would look for deep structure and points. Mouths to creeks may hold fish as well. One good rule of thumb is find the bait fish and most likely Crappie won’t be far off. Looks for Shad skipping on the top of the water or gulls and other birds hovering over an area of water often indicates the presence of baitfish as well. :fish

As you work up the creeks, toss slow sinking baits or jig and bobber deep under and shade created by trees. You'll often find Crappie, Gills, Bass and Catfish in 12 to 18 inches of water in the shade against the bank under trees over hanging the water. River fishing in the summer I'll paddle past everything shallower than 8 to ten feet if the water is clear, but never pass a good tree shading the water. I've caught limits in an area the side of my dinner table in only a few feet of water.
