The one thing that made me hesitant about JDM gear was/is my ability to tear things up! I'm in need of a tip end for both of my Tenyru rods; the Lunakia 6'3" light action and the Tenyru Rayz Alter rod. Is Chris Stewart the man for this? Thanks!

No you didn’t !
Two ? :yikes
OUCH !
Good luck finding replacements.
Whew, sure is. Chris is out of the rod business, and I think his site is just articles. Ironically, the success of introducing folks to JDM equipment led buyers to buy direct from Japan.
I would contact Digitaka or Plat to see if they have a replacement tip for them. Bad luck there. I broke the tip on my Major Craft XRide about a month ago and still haven’t found a good replacement.

Sorry to hear about all these lost friends. Hope y’all can find what you need.
How did your 63 Lunakia break?

I was throwing a Trout Magnet with my Major Craft Triple Cross and when I went back to cast, the jig apparently snagged my Lunakia rod. I keep my rods in a vertical rod holder when on the lake/boat. My casting motion snagged the Lunakia just right and took off the top four inches or so of the tip.
Ouch. I was thinking about storing my rods vertical when I go by myself. I might need to rethink things. The last rod I broke in the boat I was snagged and yanked and it came lose and hit the head of the trolling motor.
