But sometimes you have to take a break and enjoy the beauty around you and be thankful. Smell the roses they say.

But don't smell the turtles up close. They stink and bite.

When I was little, my grandpa taught me to help the turtles when traffic wasn't too dangerous. To this day, his voice goes through my head every time I see one on the road and I still do my best to stop if the traffic allows.

Still a noble past time

on a daily basis I try to remind me about what it means to be alive , sometimes it means I need to ketch fish ....
sometimes it might just be a wandering turtle that needs some help ....
other times it might be my inner boy child wanting to chase butterflies too ....
it seems to me in this great circle of life there are multiple ways to find happiness ....
the freedom we have in the US to do so is very nice ....
this in turn makes me want to thank all the folks that have helped make it so .....
