how long did it last ?
EXACTLY 3 casts ....first 2 were a nice crappie in hand
third cast something big wanted it more than me .....:Rofl:banghead
and my line went ...
KABOOM :banghead:crazy:
so in this case the life expectancy was exactly 2 fish !.....:biggrin
Sometimes things like that going to happen. Yesterday a jig I only caught about 200 on so far, still looking good . Went to unhook a Crappie and it flopped. The hook snapped off. Almost glad Thunderstorms are in the forecast . I hammered them 4 out of last 5 days . This old timer needs a rest .:Rofl

The loop knot looks frayed. Could be water on it but can't see any other possible weakness.

The hook eye looks rusty or maybe sharp edge from paint job. Bronze hooks are the first to rust.
Darn darn darn. That was a prudy jig too. Better to have caught some then lose first drop. Probably a 10# crappie has it now. :Rofl
