The Noise you say ?

Yep , I say , deafening to the ears , will rattle ya to the bones .....
not the normal KABOOM though , it was a bit more than that .....:dono
wondered why the massive traffic jams everywhere and then .....
why are there 25 guys with huge cameras on the grassy knoll ?
what is that huge puff of smoke off in the distance suspended in the clear blue sky ?
being so close to an air base , one can expect different loud air craft on a regular basis , when I say loud , I mean REALLY loud ....
but in the end , it isn't slowing me up much and to be very sure ,the fish could careless .
then later my wife sent me these images while she washed her car on the other side of the lake .....
them fellas can REALLY fly them air vehicles , some of the stuff she got on her camera is amazing and to be sure it befuddles me how they got a pass to do it right in the middle of Ft. Worth , man did they fly super low and fast and do huge figure 8 formations gyrating to and fro ....over such a highly populated area .....pushing that envelope for sure .....
good news is No KABOOM , seems none of it ended poorly ....:highfive
the ketchn of fish results will be another thread ,just saying
as he tips his Crappie.com ballcap to those that can operate something that fast that well ....:cheers2

apparently I been in the dark , something was up the last few days , I drive by the base on the way to work and there has been some strange smoke trails and such a few days and lots of loitering around along the roadside .....
had no clue until yesterday it was an air show
kinda knew something was up , just never saw them , yesterday on my Friday lunch break thing there was some EXTRA serious cowboy stuff jets flying over at the lake and I just keep my head down and try to ketch fish ....
then the whoops , on the way home super duper traffic jam and all the signs about the extra traffic and slow speeds and such due to the airshow at the base and of course my wife sending me them images too ....:banghead

I have seen them in person at the Pensacola NAS. Awesome piloting skills on full display. Thanks for the post that jogged my memory bank.

Pretty cool. I’ve never been to a big air show. We have a smaller local airport where I’ve been to a couple of times for shows. Smaller planes like single prop, etc..

When I lived in South Alabama and fishing the Fulf you would see them often. Certainly makes a fella feel patriotic at a display of such precision.

When my 4 years was up I had an offer to join the Blue Angels as a support person for 6 years, automatic advancement in rank. Would've only had one more sea duty billet after that. Sometimes regret not taking that opportunity.

Pilot #6 is a Texas native. His mother lives here still. They are impressive.

They are something to see. Both the USAF and Navy.

They are having a show in Ft Worth today but have been practicing all week. The only reason I know this is because I heard about it on the radio. They are very impressive.
