Foxy Stinger jig
These were painted using Stardust paints on a 3/32 walleye head with a #2 Matzuo sickle hook. Used a charteuse or white glow stinger, flash and fox tail, some colors I dyed myself. Planned on trying these in a local river for white bass and/or hybrids. They really slim down when wet. Fished them at the river and results to follow. Those look good. I like the silicone tail on them. Almost overlooked it. Nice touch.

Very nice, they will hunt.

River I fished is super low and thought a skunk might be in order but caught a white bass on the second cast and another on the next cast Sunday morning. Then nothing for awhile and then hooked a giant Black crappie that pulled free just feet from the bank. Would have liked to have gotten a few pics of that one, easily over 2 lbs. Went back again yesterday a little earlier but was slow. Nice crappie ended the skunk, choked that bait. Maybe was the Slab Sauce I had applied moments earlier. Another 45 minutes pass before I catch a white, then a bigger one on the next cast. That was it for the day at that spot. Really need some rain here, then the hybrids and whites come up the river from the Mississippi River.

Good job. Nice pics Jim. It would have been good to get your hands on that black crappie. Thanks for sharing.

Great looking ties. The fish sure like them

Sure look like walleye would kill that bait. You sure build awesome baits Jim!

I also thought about the walleye likin those. Good looking jigs, for sure. I wish we had some whitebass down here, and occasional hybrids get us all excited. Sounds like a good trip, we all need more of those.
