Old Reels Section
Is there a section on site to discuss old reels that I am not aware of? I have been a member here for years, but my posts are <25.I was curious if anyone else here collects old reels,or would it be out of place to start a section on here? I am on several other reel sites as well.I primarily collect Penn,Cardinal,Mitchell, & Dam Quick spinning reels.I do have several Penn conventional reels as well. I like to learn and share any knowledge on the reel history as well as fishing tips I know as well & learn yours....:fish

There isn't a forum specific to reels, but you could use the Off Topic Forum for starters & see if there's enough interest among the membership to warrant one.
As far as "fishing tips" sharing ... this forum would be your primary outlet for such discussions.

I still have, and use, a Garcia Mitchell 408 ultralight. I sold several Ambassador 5000's, A 5000C and a 5000D on ebay. Got good money for them. In many instances I still had the leather cases, manual and tools. The only one a kept is a 2500C. I used the money for buying Garcia Revo STX's
I do have a new Mitchell 308, 310 ultra lights and a Michell 300 mid-weight spinning.. Very nicely made

What roads,
sounds like you had some nice 5000s and the 2500c is worth a lot nowadays. My favorite Mitchell is the 308.DQ is the Microlite 265.Zebco Cardinal 3.If I was on a deserted island, one of my my Penn "greenie" 712s would be the reel I would want to have.I have caught crappie on all of these reels,I have a few of each...

I think Pappy’s idea was the best. We have some collectors here, but maybe not enough for a sub topic.
