Cause we have had 7" of rain in the past two days and my front ditch looks deep enough for crappie. I always wanted a pond on my place and it's forming in my back yard. Should I try some orange or stick with my black/chartreuse favorite?:Rofl

Depends on how much they like it, what is there for them. Food? A place to rest out of the current? Catfish will stage up at the mouth of creeks or flows as they empty into a body of water as soon as the food starts to wash out
When Ketchn finds out he will be sure to fish your place. :Rofl
We catch catfish miles from the river when the river is one the rise and you get a second big rain. One of my favorite spots is a set of double culverts off a certain county road...drop some worms down and catch channels, flatheads, carp, drum, buffalo, etc.
Careful! When those high waters go back down your backyard could be full of carp!:dono:Rofl:Rofl
