Best way to review and delete tooooo many waypoints

I’m sure I’m the only one that has done this. I have soooo many waypoints on my 2nd Gen Helix 10. It’s a collection of over ten years. When I first started using it I was fishing a "new to me" lake and marking everything “I thought” a fish could possibly hide by, dine by or anything else. I’m trying to avoid setting on the bow of the boat for two hours looking through and deleting waypoints.

I recently had to replace my laptop and have not downloaded Hbird PC.

On the old laptop/HbirdPC I had difficulty getting the waypoint to show up on google earth to know what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to delete. (I’m satisfied that is user error in attempting to link gmaps to Hbird.

Getting to the point…. Is there a better way to do this than Hbird PC?

After “cleaning up” the waypoints I would like to convert the Hbird waypoints to files I can use on a garmin 106/93 sv.

Humminbird PC is still the best scenario for cleaning up waypoints.

Linking Google Earth the first time in HBPC (new PC or fresh download of HBPC) can sometimes be a challenge (usually caused by Google Earth automatically updating itself to Google Earth Pro and HBPC doesn’t know how to recognize this newer version of Google Earth to automatically open in HBPC. But you can direct HBPC to the correct Windows Explorer address to finally link it.

Selecting a waypoint or group of waypoints in the left pane of HBPC - the greyed out Google Earth globe in the top Menu line should turn blue. After clicking the blue Google Earth icon - if there is an error popup and the error says it can’t find Google Earth do you want to search for it ... this is where you would select “yes” and Windows Explorer should open.

Now you have to navigate to the Google Earth .exe

So to navigate to the Google Earth .exe in the Windows Explorer view you’re now seeing :

This PC/OS (C)/Program Files/Google/Google Earth Pro/client

Double click the client folder and look for the “googleearth” that is listed as “Application” under the “Type” column

When you click this “googleearth” - Windows Explorer should go away and open Google Earth Pro linked in HBPC ...

This should be the only time necessary to link Google Earth to HBPC unless you remove and re-download HBPC ...
