Almost a white Christmas
I have yet to see any snow this year. Wouldn’t bother me at all if I don’t. I’m excited for spring this year, I have projects to do.
Yeah, we've already had a "coating" of snow a few days prior to Christmas, and may get another "coating" later in the week. I'll take a "coating" of snow during our Winter season .... just so long as we aren't forecasted to get a "dusting" like we did back in the late 70's and ended up with close to 17" :yikes
Them flamingos gonna be chilly birds. I love snow in pictures. lol
I am hopeful for some snow to bow hunt over late season around here. Forecasted for a dusting Friday but I would like about 6 inches or more. :biggrin
I think we may get a dusting this week. I can deal with snow as long as the ice stays away.
I'm a gonna tell ya, don't get me wrong here, I like snow just not where I'm at. I grew up in the desert and we got snow, maybe once every three or four years. Just maybe 1/2" or so, maybe a bit more but it only hung around a day or so. The the army sent me to Southern Germany. Between Stuttgart and Munich. We got snow there belly deep to a giraffe, that hung around all winter. Big difference they kept the roads clear...knew how to drive in it too... I learned to drive a deuce and a half truck in the snow, ice, and muck. Spent a bunch of each winter in the training areas of Hoenfels, Graffenver, and wildflicken...Where it was either wet, and muddy, or a dust bowl (summer).
The only problem with snow, great traction as snow, is go over it a couple times and snow packs and changes to ICE!!!!:yikesThen add to the equation folks who seldom drive in it, and drive like they do when the pavement is dry. Cold and slick out, I only drive somewhere if I have no other choice...just sayin'
Keep it there, please !! I hate winter. Waiting for spring here.
