Was wondering if any bank fisherman have tried this side sling pole carrier ?? With my local lake down to winter pool. I start walking the bank. Could be handy. Maybe a lil pricey. Any advice is helpful.

From 2005-2015 I walked the banks 3-5 days a week. Carrying rods as the guy in the pic is asking for a broke rod. More often than not I would carry my rod with the butt facing forward and tip trailing behind me parallel with my hand and the ground. Fly guys do this all the time. Easier to deal with walking in and around trees.

The Japanese do not lay rods on the ground. There are a multitude of these in different configurations made by not only the big names in fishing but many small outfits too. Here is one made by Daiwa.
