AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!
Went out with the kids again today. One of my nephews is really thrilled with Livescope, so he jumps into the boat and sets it up before I even park the trailer.
Fishing started well, catching nice crappie and some fat stripers. But when I went to move to a different spot, running about 40, suddenly the livescope pole jumped off the bracket, caught in the water and ripped completely out of the system.
I turned around just in time to see it sink from sight. We tried to find it, but to no avail. It was gone.
He just didn't clamp it on correctly. We weren't bouncing, it just fell off.
He feels bad, but I feel a littel nauseous. Half the plug was still in the black box, but the pins are all there, although slightly bent.
Now I need to find a used LVS 32 transducer, and HOPE that it works properly, with no issues.

Darn, hate to hear that. Hopefully you can replace it soon. Black Friday deals might could even get new??

Gosh, that’s a really bad break. Sorry to hear this.

Man that’s a bad deal for sure.

There is one listed for 400.00 on BBC. Just the transducer.

Hopefully it can be repaired with a new plug if is damaged

Oh, it sucks. Felt a little queasy after it happened. At least we still caught lots of fish.
Good thinking, D, thanks.
Before calling insurance, I went on FB Marketplace, and a guy 2 hours away just upgraded to a LVS34 and is selling his LVS32 for $150. He is willing to ship for $10, so I paid for it through Marketplace, and it is supposed to get here within a week. Hopefully, it's not a scam, but if so, Marketplace will refund my money, as he is a verified seller. If that works out, it's not much more than my $100 deductible, and no mark on my insurance record.
IF this works out, I got off really easy! If not, I will probably claim through insurance. A whole new system is $999, but I only need the 'ducer, IF the black box plug wasn't damaged.
I need to test and see if my black box still works properly. If so, I should be okay. If not, I'll have to call the insurance company.
It will be okay either way, but AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Good find. Praying that it all works out for you

The black box is likely fine. I see transducers for sale all the time due to people upgrading to the 34.
