Monroe/I-4 ramp
Yesterday I noticed the rebuilt ramps on the south side of the river at I-4 (Seminole county side) are almost done but they have installed double gates at the entrance of each ramp.
Guess they are going to control the access and time the ramps can be used.

Is it the bridge there thats going to be a new one built that isnt draw, but high enough for all boats (44?)

Only the railroad bridge is a drawbridge. It was refurbished recently but doubt very seriously if it will be rebuilt. 17-92 and I4 bridges are fixed span bridges and can handle and size boat.

Linda, you’re talking about the bridge on 44 that I heard just recently opened. That was a long project. I hope they make a fishing pier out of part of the old bridge.
And the ramp on Monroe, I wonder if they’re going to use the gates during flood times or close them every night? They still haven’t opened that ramp and I don’t see anything major in the way of doing so. Maybe it’ll be our Christmas present?

Skeet, they recently paved the parking lot on that south ramp so it might be getting closer to opening.
