Monkey Milk and Mayfly are good producers
Monkey Milk and Mayfly have my vote for real clear waters (or shallow water), but if the waters are just "normal" (like visibility of a white jig at 2' deep or less) and/or I was fishing deeper than say 10+fow ... I wouldn't pass up Cajun Cricket & Neon Nymph.
I'm just surprised that these "Mayfly" creature baits don't come in the actual Mayfly color .... TAN !! What's up wit dat ?? :dono

Would Spike it markers get the color you want?
I see no reason why you couldn't catch fish on them, now. But, personally I think right now would be a better time to use them for Black Crappie. Black Crappie eat "critters" more often than White Crappie ... except maybe in the Spring or when the actual Mayfly hatch occurs.Quote:
