If you were going to add say 60 yards of fluorocarbon to a spinning reel for use on a clear water lake which would be the easiest casting lowest memory for it. Also is it good for using a loop knot with? Thanks

I think Slabeye used to use 10# fluoro, but I think he ditched it and went back to clear mono. He didn't seem to have any problems using loop knots on it, that I saw. You might check with him for his take on it.Quote:

I have used about all of them except the extremely high end stuff like Tatsu. All of it will have some memory, line treatments help a little, but still not perfect. For true fluorocarbon, not the coated stuff, it’s hard to beat Sunline Sniper. I used to use a lot of Seagar but the quality in the lighter weights of Red Label and Invisx has went downhill.Quote:

LOL ... yeah, I don't doubt it. I've not fished with him on C-land, just Green ... and that's where my info comes from. He may well still be using fluorocarbon line on Green, I don't really know. Thanks guys. I may try some to see what i think. I usually use diawa j braid X4 15lb in hi viz yellow or the Berkley x9 in crystal & use a mono leader on both. I keep hearing how much better it is to use flouro & i have an extra setup so I thought i'd put l some on it to experiment with to see whether i like it or not. My other setups will stay like normal either straight braid or braid to mono leader.
I purchased several spools of 3lb Sufix Invisiline I will be trying out this spring during the white bass run. For whatever reason those fish get really line shy when they are in the creeks. I have never used fluorocarbon other for leaders.
The best way to gain some invisibility, is to go skinny. The thinner the diameter, the less visible.
6 lb clear blue old school Stren is good stuff , I run it on a few rods and it performs really well .......just a quick fyi
