Just another nice day
In a rare two day weekend of getting out I went in search for the one that got away. Needless to say it didn't visit me again. :dono. I did manage to catch 5, 4 crappie and a small yellow bass. Now one crappie was 10.5 and the others were dinks. I think they were practicing getting caught when the get to slab size. :Rofl. Yellow bass was a young one also, but made a good fight on my light rig. :biggrin
Now lots of guys may catch em by the dozens and I am happy for all that do. Me I is still a leanin' But I am happy to catch a few and thankful to the good Lord that he blesses me with a good day he has made and lets me enjoy his creation.
Surface temp was 65 and some change. Plenty of sun and a few clouds. Winds started calm and picked up around 10ish. Bite was light and hard to detect, but that made it all the more interesting. :fish
I never thought I would be a cool weather fishing guy, but I actually look forward to this time of year.

I like it as all the lake lice, are gone. When I go over to the state park, one could get motion sick on that floating dock if they weren't careful. Five beat the skunk away, and it looked like a real nice day. Always good to enjoy the Lords gifts to us for sure.

Like Eric said, five is better than a skunk. I personally don't worry with numbers as I enjoy just getting on the water and enjoying myself. Catch one to keep the skunk away and I'm happy. Good job. Thanks for sharing.
