and as you can see are somewhat similar in coloration , but different enough to make it interesting

Those certainly have some wild colors, beautiful !! Might be a longear/bluegill hybrid. Never seen anything like it before.
Fiesty little critters
pretty sure they are straight run long ears , they tend to look like that all over the place in these parts , males often have really hard core coloration and females much more bland . dont think fish one was girl , but maybe , fish 2 was a for sure boy though ....:highfiveQuote:
