Well that sounds like fun, never heard of smash bread. A northern thing? Are you soaking your bread in the soup too before eating?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I just call it smash bread cause of the way my bride makes it. Proper folk call it fried bread I guess but we ain’t proper and dint go in fer that fiancy bouk lernin! :Rofl

Now the beans look delicious with out a doubt, but the bread looks over the top. Whether that is cheese or butter on top it got my attention real quick and the way it is fried makes my mouth water.
