Jig Pole

I feel I need an 10’ jig pole, looking at B&M Buck’s Graphite Jig Pole but wonder if it will too heavy any thoughts and recommendations

Depends on what you want it to do. If you want to sling slabs out of heavy cover you’ll want something with some backbone. If you’re into finesse fishing, something more sensitive.

I have an ACC rod that’s got 8lb mono on it for heavy cover and slinging fish. I also have a Sam Heaton Super Sensitive with 6lb mono for the finesse fishing. Both great rods, just depends on what you want to do.

The B&M fit and finish is nicer than ACC in my opinion, but I probably use the ACC more with my fishing style. My next rod someday will probably be The Stick by B&M. Seems like a real sturdy rod.

I have an 7’ Sam Super Sensitive and have actually that about getting it again in 10’, have even looked at the ACC jig pole. Not really a slinger but there is definitely varying degrees of cover

For what I do , mostly brush piles in 16-20 , Pro Angler's have served me well. I use their 8 ft model the most.

The Berkley C series crappie pro rod is hard to beat for $47. The tip on these rods seems like a bit wimpy because of the size but tip section is solid carbon fiber.
I’ve put mine through some tough fishing in heavy cover and haven’t broken one yet in 8 years.

That’s a good rod. Love mine and they don’t break the bank.

I use a 10 ft BnM Russ Bailey. Balanced with a BnM Pro 100 or 50 it works great. IMHO

The acc 10footer mid reel seat with cork handle is an awesome rod.
