Recent ties

I don't tie as much as I used to but since I didn't have much in the way of purple thought I would try some. 1/20 pill heads with #6 sickles and some 1/24 with #8 hooks. Plan on using the little 1/24 to get down in deep holes for trout.Attachment 470756Attachment 470757Attachment 470758

Those look really good Jim and I'm sure will catch them. I like the smaller profile.

Always like a jig with the hackle palmered through the body like that. Just looks buggy.

Tails on these are all rabbit. Some are tied using Shimmer rabbit strips which have gold or silver hair mixed in with the colors. No need to add flash, already in there. Good stuff...

Have a couple 1/24 molds and one mold isn't entirely round. More like a ball/football hybrid where the hook sits up like a football. Need to use it more now that I realize it's different and not a true ball head.

I like the smaller profile there on those fish catching jigs there.

I’m using 1/64 heads with number 6 hooks here in NW Pennsylvania. Nothing fancy but these work great for me.
