I shoot with the ACC Crappiesticks. I have the 6 and 7 foot version. They have similar backbone to a light action bass road
outlaw jigging rods are awesome.
there are some sweet stix out there for cheap ....
might go play with few rods in your hand before you decide ....
some $30 range rods are all that plus some ...
pay no attention to mfg. names or rod colors and etc. .....buy what fits ya well....
my 27 cents if you will
Speaking of that I put my hands on the ozark rod at Walmart. That is a nice rod but I have nowhere else to store one….lol
Definitely good advice already !
put one your hand if at all possible as said already see how it feels to ya before you buy! I have bought lots name brands rods that folks said were good rods then they didn’t suit me ! :twocents
You can certainly start with the rods you got. The only thing I see that might be an issue is they probably won't be very sensitive. When the bite is very light it may be tougher to feel on those rods. Start with what you've already got and upgrade to what you want as you can. All of the rods mentioned here will serve you well.
I’ve learned a few things building the last few rods I’ve done. Balance is key and when you’re not holding a nose heavy rod up all day you tend to feel and pay more attention to what’s going on. Lightweight is another. My little rods jump in my hand when the get a decent hit and I’m feeling lots more than with other rods I used to think were good.
