Crack the bleeder on that caliper and see if that frees it up. The rubber brake line from the frame to the caliper can fail internally and act like a check valve, holding a small amount of pressure on the pads causing drag and overheating. I’ve seen this happen numerous times, especially on older vehicles.

A trick I learned from a rural route mailman -
Take about a 12 penny nail, snip off about 3/8 inch of it, keeping the head end. Install it in the brake line between line and caliper or wheel cylinder and torque it down. Presto no more problem! Do we really need 4 brakes when 2 or 3 will do the job? [emoji23]
