Now for something completely different

Dawned cold and calm so it's time for SQUIRREL HUNTING!

TOOK MY TIME GETTing out but once I did KABOOM HAPPENED! SQUIRRELs were cutting hickory and heard them all around and you would see one for a brief time at top of tree getting nut. The dissappear while you heard them. Had to be patient till they were done and hope to get shot.

Did kill 8 and a lot of young males. So we will feast tonight.

Plus my bud killed a few and found bunch of chanterell mushrooms which we like better than morels. Attachment 468965Attachment 468966

first time I killed squirrels as a lad for my grandma after I cleaned them she made me go under the house and fight the cats for the remains that had the skulls in them and got scratched up pretty good. She loved her some brains and wasted nothing on an animal. I learned and always kept them for her after that. Havn't ever tried them myself.
