Gillchaser
I promised a few pics of the recent rod, and I dont want to hijack another’s thread. This is a 6’6” and I’m calling it a medium extra fast or maybe a medium heavy. Weight is light and the balance is good. I have a split shot about an eighth, maybe a little less and 3lb twitchmaster on the reel. It’s not enough line but it’s all I have that isn’t already married to another rod. I’m thinking maybe 8lb braid with a ten lb leader and maybe throwing a Ned rig. I think it’s a bit too fast for drop shot but never having done that it’s all a guess. Anyway, here’s the pics.Attachment 468813

Good looking rod and looks like it will be a fun one to fish too.

Thanks for the pics !
Looks nice . I love the fancy wraps .
I like those guides too.
That rod might make a sensitive jig rod .
Has enough bend in the tip to cast a light jig and enough backbone in the butt to handle anything you might hang into .

It’ll cast that little split shot almost a hundred feet across my backyard but most of what I catch wouldn’t hardly put a bend in it. Now the stripers I fool with now and then would be different. I might take one of my salt reels off of their home rod and try it in this. They’re 2500’s with 10lb braid. Thanks for the response.

Nice build Skeet:ThumbsUp and the stripers on that will be exciting Jumping Jacks Icon

That's a beauty, Tim. I bet that 5lb Tilapia would make that sing.
