Curiosities kill the panfish!
When it comes to how one angler can go about catching fish, there seems to be as many ways as there are different types of fishing equipment. Just FYI folks, this post is meant for entertainment read and NOT as an argument for which technique is better than which to catch panfish.
About a decade ago microfishing concept had earned quite an acknowledgement the world over, because of the Tanago fishing popularity. About same time a type artificial lures surfaced in Japan for the all-lure purists in Japan called HAZEKURA mainly designed for anglers predominantly catching brackish water gobies inhabit Tokyo canal waterways. These hard topwater lures is said to entice fish because of its flashy color, small or large, into biting out of curiosity. For me I believe more in its concept of application rather. Tying small hook to a large lure normally too large for gobies, the angler can then get his hookset. So what a panfish angler to do when he sees a good idea that should not be discarded without trying out? The video of said fishing story can be found under: "Fishing Crazy Japan"- on YouTube. And here's a few picture of my setup to test concept, even if it meant catching little curiosities. Enjoy!Attachment 468160Attachment 468161Attachment 468164Attachment 468165
