David, I use 6 up to 8 feet. Rods are staggered apart. You can use what you are accustom too. I know some of the guys here go long rods 10 and 12 feet. :highfive
Most of the time when I night fish. I have a lit float on the line. For that I use whatever rod that casts the distance I need
I mainly 6-8’ rods . I will use 10’ when they seem to want to get the ones farther away from the lights under the water
