Working With Acetone
What did I need to know about working with acetone? I want to remove some paint from some jig heads. I have some small brushes to work with. If I put the acetone in a small plastic cup, will it melt the plastic? I was going to dip the brush in acetone, "paint" it on the jig head and hopefully wipe the acetone and the old paint from the jig head with a rag? Is there a problem with that? Is there a better way? Thanks, GF

I would find a small metal container (tuna can) and fill it with acetone. I would soak the jig heads by hanging them on the lip of the can and letting them soak until the paint is soften. I would then take a wire brush to remove the paint.

Definitely be mindful of sources of ignition. Acetone is some very flammable stuff

Don't use plastic containers.
