sure was fun though , man did they ketch some fish .
a few small bass and bluegill and red ear and even a dandy ole timer hybrid sunfish too ....
lots of bent rods and banter about who got the biggest fish ...rotfl
grandson said he was gunna ketch one bigger than him ....:yikes
wife said yep , he for sure has your dna ....:Rofl
still have not convinced my grandson to hold a fish as of yet and it seems to be a concern for his dad , but he does "pet" them some and always wants to let them go back into the water ....:cheers2
and although the red ear in the first image does not appear to be a whale fish , it ALMOST took the rod from him .....LOL ...

p.s. we had 4 fish on at the same time at one spot we visited , mine was purely accidental as I only had my jig in the water while I was helping the family ketch fish ...pretty darn good fun for sure ....:cheers2
