Crow eating fool

Ok so that’s said about eating crow, I stopped and got minnows today on my livescoping trip, stopped at the first spot dropped a slip cork rig down and it went down fast, caught my first crappie on a minnow while livescoping. Then I pitched that next minnow for hours, without a bite. Then I grabbed my jig and started catching the fire out them, in about 2 hour had a limit with the jigs. So I will have to agree with most of you fellows on here about minnows while livescoping, lots easier also. So when it time for old dano to eat some crow I am man enough to admit it.. Sometimes the learning curve, I have got to try it myself. Thanks guys.+Cross+

Superdave it was a very hot 91 degrees today, too hot, but windy, windy , windy. White capping, skiers, boat traffic it was a rough day, plus did not put my plug in my boat when I launched, so had to put it back on trailer and get all the water out, before I could go. Looked like it was the first time I ever put a boat in. Anyone ever forgot to put their plug in their boat?

I have lost count of the times. Put a drain with a check ball on this boat. It works pretty well in the event. When I bought the boat it had a piece of masking tape across the windshield that had don't forget the plug in marker. It was rather unsightly. I decided to clean it off of there. It was quite the chore. Of course the next time I launched I did so without the plug in the boat. I used that as my test of the ball check drain. I would have to pump out about 10 gallons every 30 minutes with the bilge pump. It is nice to know that it does work in the event I leave the plug out

Jack never heard of a check value for a boat drain, I will have to check that out.

Think I found it at Academy. I will have to look ans see if I can findit online

Found this one at Bass Pro. It seems to be an updated model from the one I have

I have a dry box in the boat behind the drivers console seat. Inside the dry box is a plastic cup with the main plug and the ignition key. The plug is on top of the key, so I must remove the plug to access the key. Once in my hand, I know where it goes. Same thing for the lanyard kill switch.

Danny I have a post I'm writing now but needs time to complete. I relates to our experiences shiner fishing.........the anomalies not the norm. Anyway about 7 years ago, right before we got the Tropical Storm-Hurricane flurry here on the Gulf Coast year after year even on Ross Barnett, that summer if you didn't fish shiners you didn't catch fish. I think we are in the same scenario today. I think the El Nino was building then too, maybe has something to do with it?
