Trip with the wife

Took the wife out this morning, she doesn’t like to get out there too early so we set out a little later than I usually do. The only way to stay out of the wind lately is to be on the lake at sunrise. We had to find spots out of the wind this morning to be able to fish. Couldn’t fish some of my better spots. Managed to catch a lot of fish, although most were small or females ready to spawn so we released them. Kept a few males and a couple of small ones that were hooked too badly to release. All in all a really fun morning with a few fish to bring home.

Nice catches

Some pretty colors on them. Nice to get out with wife and catch some. Good job.

Way to go and I'm glad your wife went along with you. Mine has no real interest in catching them but she does just fine cooking and eating them! You're blessed to have the Mrs. ride along on occasion.
