Busy night on the pond, 5-24
Yesterday after work I loaded up and headed out to see if I could do better than I did on Saturday. Pleased to say that yes, I had a busier trip. By a bunch.
Pretty good breeze, air temp at 68 and that water out from the beach was also at 68. I launched and had the first line in the water at 5:20 and this little bass was the first fish in the boat at 5:21!

Trolling wasn't producing so moved over closer to shore and began casting the shallows. The 'gills are spawning on the beds and the action was non-stop. I returned all that I caught but nearly every cast produced a hard fighter.

I really wanted some crappie and headed back out to find some. Found this first one on the troll out along the drop off on a rocky edge.

Even the perch were interested in my trolled lures, I scored 5-6 of them but not as big as this first one, a bit under 11".

Moved over to an area that was a bit calmer and where I knew there was a weedier drop off. First cast there rewarded me with another of our target species. I'd work that area for rest of the night and got a couple more smaller crappie, a bunch more bluegill and bass, too.

Had a fly over of an eagle, too but the picture was pretty blurry. But the sun wasn't moving so fast that I couldn't get a good picture, burning red from the smoke from the fires in Western Canada.

I would troll my way back to the beach and pulled in the lines about 8:15. I can't even put an estimate to the 'gills caught so I won't. It was a bunch. I think it was 5 crappie, 1 pickerel, the already mentioned yellow perch, and probably 8-9 bass from 6" up to 11" or so.
Amazing trip for sure.
