Fish today durning a cold front, I was livescoping and saw 25 or so crappie on timber on about 10 different places, but could not get hardly any to bite, if they did only short strike the lure, they would follow the bait and I would catch a few small fish and occasionally a 10 inch fish, I changed color, profiles nothing seemed to help. Any suggestions?+Cross+
Did you also change your "presentation" ?? Sometimes moving the jig faster, slower, wiggling the rod tip, or getting right over them and "Vertical Casting" to them could be the ticket. I'll "assume" that changing of colors & profiles also included changing the "size" of the offering ... as in downsizing ??

yes I did try downsizing speeds and I forgot to mention the weather was at least 25 degrees cooler than normal.Quote:

Before Livescope we could not see crappie following a bait or swimming up to and looking at a bait before swimming off. Frustrating at times but exciting when it all works. All we can do is change colors, presentations, etc. However, somedays they just do not want to bite. IMHO
