been using fluorocarbon leaders for the past 2 years, not sure what brand it was, but this year i notice the new line my kids got me for Christmas is breaking more at the knots and sometime bringing a fish in. i think the new stuff is from Kastking supposed to be 100% fluorocarbon, this stuff is a very poor quality line, any suggestions on a better choice.
is Vanish a good choice

Not the answer to your question, but are you wetting the line really well prior to cinching down the knot? Fluoro really weakens with the heat from the friction.

Vanish is not the answer. With real fluorocarbon, not coated lines like K9, you get what you pay for. Sunline is about the only one I would trust in the lighter weights for crappie fishing these days. Seagar Red label and invisx used to be somewhat affordable and dependable but the quality has went downhill last several years. For leaders you won’t use a bunch, buy some Sunline Sniper and be done with it.
You won’t go wrong with Varivas FC leader or line.

Best way to get invisible is to get real skinny. I suggest a visit to the Varivas site and look around some. The recommendation you got would be a good place to start.
