Question about Garmin
Does anyone have the Garmin E-trex Legend? I'm thinking about getting one and was wondering if they are any good. I do know that it is waas enabled and has map access. but I wanted to hear from someone who has tried one. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
ps they list around $200, but I can get one for $110 new.

Don't know about the Etrex. I think it is hard to beat the Garmin Map76s. Several other members have the same unit and they like theirs also.

I just bought a e-trex legend and from what I can tell they are user friendly. I had no problem downloading some waypoints in them. But as for as being able to tell you how good they are I can't because I've not used mine enough to honestly say, however I've been told by a friend who has one that they work very well. I payed $149 for mine on sale so $110 would be a good deal it looks like to me. I will say it looks like they will be hard on batteries but you can get a 12 volt adapter they would take care of that.

I have a friends here now, He bought the $100 MapSource C.D. also, It is more roads and towns, We thought it was lakes also but only basic outlines. No contour lines
The Unit it self is nice.

Thanks for the info guys. I've got one coming.

Yeah, they're good. I got my father-in-law one a few years ago for xmas. If you're tech savvy at all, you'll catch on to using it quickly.

I've had mine for 2 years and i love it

I have had mine 3 or 4 years, use it about every other day on my boat. I learned alot how to use it by going to the site geocaching.com and finding things in the woods........
