4/30/2023 SUNDAY ON DA BAYOU LACOMBE
Grandson and I hit the Bayou Lacombe launch at around 9 am Sunday and fished several spots. Ended up with 8 keeper sacalait over 8 inches and had another 25 smaller ones we kept alive in the live well to stock a large retention pond in our subdivision.
Austin caught a real thick 13 1/2 incher Black sacalait which was his PBE ( Personal Best Ever). Caught the small ones on structure and the big ones on the bottom hiding in the mud or grass beds. Best color was black and chartreuse tube jig. Water temp 72 f and falling.
Another Paw Paw Adventure in the Books!!
Bon Temps!!!
