The Raccoon, his crew of 2, and I went to Wateree last Saturday to start off the first boating trip of the year. Got a late start and arrived to a packed landing at Molly Creek. Had to park all the way to "Norman". Heard there was a crappie tournament going on but didn't see any tightliners or long liners about. Anchored mostly in the greater Cedar Creek area. Using worms, bream heads, shad, and Gulpy bait, caught a mix bag of cats, perch, and odd rockfish. Left around 5 having arrived back at the ramp at 4.
