Yet another great day.
Dawned another beautiful warm day with warmer nights mean the dawn will be starting for whole lakes around not just in spots. Plus with next rain here come the other special part of spring MORELS.
Went to lake and yep they were still in shallow in patch of reeds nobody seems to know about. One after another on small bobber and 4 inches of line with a junglejimjigs brown and orange jig. Released 5 and headed to launch area where guy who was there yesterday pitching a jig out had moved to another spot as they wernt where they were yesterday. When you are in this part of spring noticed they will be staged out overnight but some will move in close in afternoon. Some like my reedy sandy bottom are get more sun and they stay in earlier. But not overall as they will over next few days of hotter weather and warmer nights. Southern part of state I'm sure they are already on.
Anyway this guy had moved to the spot I was on last night as this place is like the spawn indicator and as soon as one guys limits here after a while someone else can come and do well. Watched him ketch a limit there.
Then my buddy texts to say he can't come so I go to reedy spot and KABOOM it's on yet again. One after another mostly solid 9.5 to 11 inch males with couple females mixed in. Threw back 5 9 inch males as I had enough for a guy I knew would come pick them up and w a call he came over and got them at my place.
Went to one of places yesterday in late afternoon and picked up a quick limit in shallow in grasses in a fow.
I've had some crazy fishing stretches but last week and these 3 days were sure spectacular.
Hope you all enjoyed these adventures.
