OINK OINK Baby!
No skinny girls in the boat today!
I got a late start. Fellas at the ramp said they turned off when the sun came up mid morning. Oh well.
I headed out on Tebo back in a creek. Water was 60 and as clean as I've seen it on Tebo.
First thing I realized when it was time to set up....forgot the plug. Water - still 60 :)
I went around the way and the wind gusts were brutal. I tossed out my poles and by the time I had bait on them all I was spun in circle, snagging all my lines, but put 2 in the boat right then. Fixed everything and had to decide; stay there where I just caught two or go where I was shooting for.
Should have stayed.
I moved across the creek channel to a shallow flat and started catching quite a few but the wind was killing me! I kept at it and got a few more but seems like I caught them all or spooked them so I headed back to my original mess of a spot with my lines set for shallow water this time.
I finally caught several more and just needed one more.... Whites! wouldn't ya know it a whole school. Had to cut and retie a couple rigs and untangle the rest. Trolly motor stirred up all kinds of mud, looks like I was in about 2FOW per my live scope, depth finder said 4 :dono. Most of the time they were sync. Pretty sure the last fish took almost an hour. Water temp was 67 when I left at 3.
Caught a few gar that were nice enough to spit the hook just in time. Saw several big green fish swimming around my lines above my bait a few times...but I suck to much at fishing to waste time on those things.
I saw several guys that were beating up the banks when I got there and they were still at it when I left. I never saw any go in the boats. Sounds like they're on the bank in the wee hours but are still moving out a little deeper in the bright sun. Attachment 455095 Attachment 455096

Nice job Jake!! Fat bottom girls make the world go round :fingerdance

Nice work Jake! I too had a couple of fire drills while I was fishing. It's never fun to have to get one off a tree and untangle the rest. LoL

that wind was playing havoc in my buddy's boat and we one pole. can't imagine how crazy it was rigging and trying to keep things sorted out.
