Bois D'Arc Lake ?
My daughter lives in Honey Grove, not far from the "new" Bois D'Arc Lake. Is the lake too new to have an established fishery? I spent some time on Google maps, and did not see any lakeside accommodations or boat launches. Can anyone point me to some more information about this lake?

From a source I know, they have 2 - 3, 25-50 yrd Brush piles made from the Bois D’Arc and other trees when they where impounding it
As of now I still don’t think it’s open to public
As for ramps, I have heard 3 total around the lake, again don’t quote me that’s just what I’ve been told ??*??
It’s only Share Lunkers, trophy Crappie and trophy Catfish to be stocked
Time will definitely tell
On a 16,600ac lake
I did find this Attachment 457571Attachment 457572
An article I read last year definitely states crappie

The lake has been completed but they are waiting for it to fill before opening her up. As of today it is 77% full and it looks like it will be another year before it is opened (depending on amount of rain we get). They left alot of timber on that lake so she should be a dandy. If I remember correctly the lake has four boat ramps on it but no marina's at this time.

When it opens birds will chirp at me and then ,,,,,,:Fire

love me some 100 yard long piles , some of them really produce numbers of crappie in other lakes ....
that monster off the island at Aquilla is often the bomb ....

The lake has a Facebook page that the locals keep updated. Looks like they are taking bids now for a new marina.
